Omggg let me spill ALL the tea about getting that glowy skin without using your entire allowance! 💅✨


1. H2O is like, your BFF now

K so I know drinking water is literally the most boring advice ever, but trust bestie - it works! My skin was being so extra and breaking out, but then I started carrying this cute water bottle (the pink one from Target, ykwim?) and drinking like 8 glasses a day. Pro tip: add lemon or cucumber to feel fancy, plus it makes it taste way less boring lmao 💦


2. Eat stuff that makes your skin happy

Ngl, when my mom kept talking about "eating for your skin" I was like whatever 🙄 BUT THEN- I started having avocado toast (basic, I know but it's so good??) and adding berries to my morning yogurt. My skin literally said thank you?? Also grabbed some nuts from Trader Joe's (their dark chocolate ones are fire btw) and started eating more salads. Don't come for me but it's actually working?? 🥑


3. Scrub the drama away

You guys!! Mix some sugar with honey and you've got yourself a fancy scrub! I used to buy those expensive ones from Sephora but this works just as good?? Just don't go crazy with it - like twice a week is enough or your face will be like "excuse me??" Also tried it with oatmeal and yogurt when I was staying at my cousin's and it's sooo good for sensitive skin bestie! 🍯


4. Face masks that are giving main character energy

STOP EVERYTHING and try this honey and turmeric mask! But bestie, I'm begging you - wear an old shirt cause turmeric stains are literally the worst (RIP to my mom's white towel 💀). When your skin is being dramatic before a date or something, mix yogurt and cucumber. It's like a spa day but in your bathroom! My bestie Sophia used it before her hot date and she looked amazing fr fr 🥒


5. Sun protection but make it cute

Ok so confession time - I used to skip sunscreen cause it felt gross but then my aunt (she's a dermatologist and totally obsessed with skin stuff) showed me these terrifying pics of sun damage and I was SHOOK! Now I'm that annoying friend always carrying sunscreen in my backpack. Get the ones with zinc oxide cause they're less toxic or whatever. And get this - eating tomatoes helps protect your skin?? Like how random but cool?? 🍅


6. Essential oils and stuff

Tea tree oil is literally LIFE when you get those annoying pimples right before a party (it's like they know?? 🙄). And everyone on YouTube is obsessed with rosehip oil for that glass skin look. Just don't put them directly on your face cause that's not the vibe. Mix with something first or your skin will throw a whole tantrum! 


7. Beauty sleep isn't just for Disney princesses

Y'all... Getting enough sleep is so important?? Like, I notice such a difference when I don't stay up till 3am watching TikToks (oops). And when I'm stressed about exams my skin goes CRAZY, so I started doing this meditation app thing? And ngl it's actually helping?? 😴


8. Keep it simple, bestie

Listen up - you don't need 300 products to have good skin! I just use aloe vera to clean (it's so gentle omg), some apple cider vinegar mixed with water to tone (smells weird but works), and argan oil to moisturize. My skin is literally thriving and my wallet isn't crying anymore! 💁‍♀️
